eTracker is the Tracker web application that allows users to view documents. The web application does not support administration, scanning or annotating functions. eTracker is different from the Client/Server version as it runs on servers instead of the client workstation
In CCRC, the web version is used by units who report to the Vice Chancellors to distribute and receive documents for action and information.
In SPO, the web version is used by Extramural Funds Accounting to view documents and apply accounting details to BFS.
Employees are granted access by the System Administrator. The employee’s UID number is added to the user profile in the Client.
Also a plug-in is required for viewing documents is determined by the System Administrator/owner of the application and is set in the access rights View function:
To View Image: Allows user to view annotations as well as the document.
However, most Web users do have access to the view annotations function.
- Requires current version of WebView.ocx
- Download installer; Save to the desktop; Restart.
To View PDF: Most users are viewing PDFs which are easier to read and can be emailed.
- Requires free download of Adobe Acrobat Reader,
version 6+; download will install current version.
- Download installer; Save to the desktop; Double-click and follow the directions on the installer.
