Tracker - Description of Client Server Application
Application development is based on the system requirements of the Chancellor's Office User Advisory Group with representatives from the Chancellor's Immediate Office, the Vice Chancellors and the Vice Provosts.
Description of application
TRACKER is a client/server application. The SQLServer database and MINDS Server
image database reside on Windows 2003 servers located in Data Center, 2195 Hearst.
The databases are backed up daily by a tape backup system and stored at an offsite location.
Central Computing Services supports the servers including the new web servers and their daily backups; ASD manages and maintains the application and the SQLServer database.
The following software is installed on the client workstation: TRACKER, ImageMate.
A web browser client needs either Acrobat Reader to View PDF or ImageView
plug-in to View Image.
